Newspaper Announces Staff Changes
Sunday leader publisher David Johnson has announced two promotions and one new hire at the paper.
Taylor Mitchell has been promoted to sports editor, according to Johnson.
"Taylor has been on our staff for more than a year now and has achieved an excellent grasp of what is important to the community in the world of sports," Johnson said. "We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber in our community. He has a proven record for not missing the big or small stories that affect our children in their athletic endeavors."
Mitchell will become more involved in coverage decisions and the layout and design of the paper's sports section, according to Johnson.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge," Mitchell, a native of Dallas, Texas, said. "We are blessed with great athletic programs and some longstanding traditions of winning here. It will be a labor of love."
Ashley Fulgham has also been promoted to the postion of Art Director for the newspaper. Fulgham, who has been employed at the paper for a year, is an experienced and talented graphic designer, according to Johnson.
Johnson announced the hiring of Ryan Fulgham to the paper's news staff. Fulgham, a Cleveland native, recently returned home after residing in Columbia, Mo.
"Ryan's enthusiasm for the job may be his greatest asset," Johnson said. "He brings great energy to our news gathering operation."
